Merriott were delighted to have helped Kirklees Council refurbish their Civic One building in Huddersfield, into an energy efficient building designed ready for a District Heating Network running at lower temperatures.
For many years in the future, a comfortable and safe environment is now ensured for Council staff and members of the Public, with thanks to Merriott’s product durability.
Merriott supplied Precision radiators throughout Offices & Meeting Rooms, floor mounted Radiavector’s in front of full-height glazing & vertical Ultima LST radiators in public toilet areas.
The needs of the council were understood at an early stage, which highlighted that Merriott’s bespoke radiator solutions met this demanding challenge of a full building refurbishment across an 18 month period.
We are also proud to supply Precision radiators with special paint finishes to enable dementia sufferers navigate floor levels within the Civic One building.
In addition, top opposite end connections were specified on Precision vertical radiators in stair wells, to ensure safe and aesthetically pleasing pipework connections.
The entire building refurbishment programme saw all staff working from home whilst the works took place.
